At one time, there were only a few banks nationwide that bothered to consider insuring deposits above the FDIC-insured amount for individual accounts. And in the majority of those cases, it was to protect those high net-worth depositors closest to the bank (directors, officers, shareholders, etc.).
In time, the product grew to provide protection for public funds (school boards, public entities) in lieu of pledging securities. Later, as the market began to turn, the demand grew. At FNBB Insurance Agency, we have access to one of the few remaining carriers who offer this program. And while we cannot guarantee approval, we can work on your behalf to begin the process!

It is routine for bankers to make loans on collateral such as automobiles, recreational vehicles, ATVs, and such. You take the appropriate steps necessary to ensure that your loan is properly covered by insurance. What happens after the loan closing? Will that collateral be properly protected? Will the insurance still be in place to protect your interests a week later? Will you have to continually follow-up to ensure that your interests are protected?
