John Douglas is the Outreach Director in the Supervision and Regulation Division at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. John joined the Atlanta Fed in May 2004 as a Senior Examiner. He was promoted to Director in 2013 and has managed teams of specialized examiners throughout the Federal Reserve System. He has served as an instructor in the Federal Reserve’s Examiner Commissioning Program and Foreign Technical Assistance program having taught market and liquidity risk topics at central banks in India, Panama, and Uruguay. A native of Greenville, SC, he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University and is a CFA® charterholder. He is a 2024 graduate from the Graduate School of Banking at LSU and serves on faculty for the school. He captains his neighborhood men’s ALTA tennis team who won City Finals in 2020.
